I started this craft blog just before summer started and just before I started with the lovely "morning sickness" portion of pregnancy. I never get much crafting or sewing done in the summer anyway because there is SO much to do out in the sunshine -- but in combination with "morning sickness" aka "all-day sickness" I have done absolutely ZERO projects since this blog was made and the first post posted. I am feeling MUCH better now and with fall and cooler weather just around the corner I am getting excited with all the project ideas running though my head. Fall, Winter and Spring are my crafting seasons. :) I need to finish up MANY things that have already been started like this really great Easter decoration project from the Martha Stewart Living magazine last Spring...

I already have all the eggs wrapped with thread (this took a LONG time) and carrots molded and wrapped also. I have all the silk ribbon and vintage velvet flowers and leaves to decorate the thread eggs with... so I just need to get the eggs adorned and afew other touches here and there and I can check this project off the list! After Christmas last year I also started on ornaments for our Christmas Tree. We have never really had any and I finally found some inspiration for a look that I liked. I am going for a silver, red and clear glass/crystal (with maybe a little gold) color scheme. I made glass bead snowflake ornaments and garland, and these geometric star and ball shaped ornaments made from a Martha by Mail kit I bought at an outlet years ago. Here is a picture to get an idea of the glass bead snowflakes and garland and the 3-D silver spikey star looking things are exactly what I made from the kit. So all this will be on a green tree (a REAL tree... never a fake one for me!) with lots of bright red mixed in.

Oh yeah, and I also saw an idea on the Martha show for Glittered silver picture frame ornaments that I bought the supplies for -- and it my true form haven't gotten around to making yet. This isn't a great picture but it gives you the idea.

When I actually finish these projects I will post pictures so you can see MY finished produt not just Martha's. :) I also have MANY other things on my crafting to do list like quilts, pillows, furniture painting, craft binder organizing, wreath making, jewelry making, bag sewing, kntting GALORE (especially when I find out what sex the baby is - in two weeks! - I can start making all sorts of hats and sweaters!!), and MANY, MANY, MANY other projects!! I am also concocting some really great ideas for Halloween decor also!! Hopefully I will be getting on the ball soon and get some of these things finished before my life gets a lot busier with a baby!! However, I am a crafter at heart and I think that I will always make time for projects no matter how many babies I have around! I hope to be better at keeping up with this crafting blog but don't count on posts every day or even week... maybe every other week... :) Maybe it doesn't matter anyway because I might just be writing to myself... Does anyone even look at this?
Happy crafting everyone and I would love to hear about what you are doing too!! Keep in touch!
Ciao!!
